  • I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in Statistics at Columbia University working with Prof. Andrew Gelman
  • I received my PhD in July 2016 from McGill University. I was co-supervised by Prof. Mark Coates (Electrical and Computer Engineering Department) and Prof. Thomas Shultz (Psychology Department). 
  • I got my Master's degree at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McGill University under  the supervision of Prof. Mark Coates in 2012.
  • I obtained my B.Sc degree in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Techology, Tehran, Iran in 2010.

          - Research on multivariate regression techniques in machine learning and data mining.
            Proposed a sparse factor regression algorithm to simultaneously perform dimension reduction and coefficient estimation.

          - Research on machine learning and data mining techniques in finance.

- Research on the interactions of social media and the stock market. Proposing a cluster-based portfolio-selection method based on the social media.
